Wadi Rum Desert

Known as the Valley of the Moon. It is the largest wadi in Jordan and is in southern Jordan. Wādī means valley.

This valley has been used for movies such as the Martian, Dune, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lawrence of Arabia to just name a few.

We went by 4×4 thru the desert.

You can also ride a camel.

My camel had a mind of it’s own. He stopped to eat a couple of times and then wanted to pass the other camels. After a saddle mishap and the saddle and me almost falling off the ride was pretty smooth after that.

We next went to a Bedouin camp and had Zarb. Which is a selection of foods cooked in an oven with hot coals beneath the desert floor.
